Apartment and workshop in the tower on Kamennoostrovsky

The apartment in the tower on Kamennoostrovsky Avenue has been owned by the artist and his daughter Zhenya since 1990. Rather, it is not an apartment, but a workshop, but her family uses it as the main place to live.

The room consists of two zones - a tower and an attic. In the tower there used to be a dormitory for applicants, even earlier it was used for technical needs, when a clock was installed on the roof. As such, the attic was not here, but there was an ordinary empty attic.

Repair lasted four months. We started with the capital work - it was necessary to raise the ceiling, zoning the room with the help of walls. “About those years (90s) it’s hard to say“ how “. You can say“ somehow, somewhere, someone, with someone, something “,” - says Zhenya about the repair process.

All work was done independently. There was no single interior concept. The main requirement - the room should be convenient and comfortable to work.

Six tower windows face southwest. Along the perimeter are shelves with books, tools, lots of paintings and other interesting things.

The kitchen ended up being triangular with a triangular window and a round table in the middle. Here, as elsewhere, there are many photographs and paintings. Attic - a recreation area and work. Three windows face the St. Petersburg courtyard-well, but thanks to the sloping ceiling, a lot of light still gets into the room through them.
